My story has always been shaped by many places.

I was born Assam, raised in Gujarat, with my roots belonging to Jammu & Kashmir.

Growing up across cultures made me curious about more than how traditions look. I wanted to understand the people, stories, and meaning behind them.

That curiosity eventually took me back to my roots. I moved to Jammu, sat with local artisans, and began learning Kashmiri embroidery from the hands that have carried it for generations.

Ajuni grew from that journey: discovering where I come from, and finding a way to carry it forward.

Ajuni is deeply personal to me. “AJ” comes from Anjana, my mother, and “UNI” from Suniddhi, me.

Together, we are building more than a fashion brand. We are creating a bridge between heritage and modern design, craft and opportunity, with the hope of creating sustainable livelihoods for more women.
